CBS News
Posted by: | CommentsHi BigDadGib,
My name is Emily Lamont, and I work at CBS News. This week, the CBS EVENING NEWS aired a really great segment that I thought you and your readers might be interested in.
Earlier this year we went inside Obama’s campaign headquarters in Chicago. Check out that clip here - http://youtube.com/watch?v=N6-FHxPy0E0&feature=user
Please let me know if you need any thing else or have any questions
Cheers, Emily

No Kudos For Katie Couric

MEDIA RESEARCH CENTER
MRC NEWS REPORT FOR JULY 11, 2008
From the Desk of:
Douglas C. Mills, Executive Vice President
Kudos to ABC’s World News for actually reporting good news from the
Iraq War. On Tuesday night, ABC’s Martha Raddatz cited "some really
impressive gains" as she reported the plummeting number of attacks in
Baghdad.
Apparently none of the other networks saw the value in good news about
the war. Most networks simply ignored the news; NBC’s Jim Miklaszewski
only noted less violence in Iraq in contrast to a "record number of
Americans killed in Afghanistan last month."
Over on the CBS side of things, positively perky Katie Couric did
mention a downturn in the violence before delivering a left hook
about ill-equipped hospitals in Iraq.
E.D. Hill Returns
Posted by: | Comments
Can anyone tell me what really happened with E.D. Hill? I was told she was pulled off the air for a comment that was misconstrued as being less than politically correct.
Here is what did happen.
Teasing a segment on the "gesture everyone seems to interpret differently," Fox News’ E.D. Hill said: "A fist bump? A pound? A terrorist fist jab? … We’ll show you some interesting body communication and find out what it really says." In the ensuing discussion with a "body language expert," Hill referred to the "Michelle and Barack Obama fist bump or fist pound," but at no point did she explain her earlier reference to "a terrorist fist jab."
For those of us who have enjoyed E.D. since she first joined Fox Cable (1998)many years ago, she again appeared on Fox at 5pm east today.
The whole thing has been very hush-hush. I have waited to hear another Fox personality say something about Hill while she was gone, but I never heard a peep. Nothing was ever said about why, when, where, how or nothing.
Maybe it’s behind her now. Whatever the case, I’m glad she is back (even though all I can do is just listen to her on my XM Radio).

Obama Making The Changes
Posted by: | CommentsOne nation under Obama is where he is headed. He promised to make change and he intends to keep that promise.
On Friday, the new seal was unveiled on Obama’s podium when he spoke to a group of Democratic governors. His presidential seal?
It looks like a presidential seal, with the American bald eagle clutching arrows and an olive branch, but the resemblance ends there.
The Latin phrase "E Pluribus Unum," which translates to "Out of many, one," now says "Vero Possumus." I am told that is Latin for "Truly, we are able" — a very rough translation of the Obama campaign slogan, "Yes we can."
The deletion of "E Pluribus Unum," is not accidental for multiculturalists, who have long downplayed the concept that immigrants must strip away their old culture in favor of the "oneness" of American civilization.
In the 1990s, such activists promoted the alternative concept of the nation’s ethnic "mosaic," instead of being a ‘One Nation’, overarching metaphor to describe American society. For example, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan has pointedly criticized the "E Pluribus Unum" motto as not reflecting the nation’s diversity.
One other thing I noticed is the shield over the breast of the eagle is gone, representing the president’s oath to defend the Constitution. In it’s place is a big "O", which stands for Obama I guess.
Obama and the ObamaNation scare me and it should scare you too.
