BlogShares is Fantasy Fun

My blog, BigDadGib.net is listed as well as my friend Rodney Olson at The Journey.

I have just gained a majority ownership (remember… it’s just a game) of stock in my company (blog bigdadgib.net) with påt®iciå owning the rest.

I split the stock a day or two ago and price is in a recovery state but climbing.

No Rhyme No Reason

Do not fault a game. Do not blame a gun. Do not guilt his parents. A sick mind did this. A highly irrational, twisted and distorted mind and that is all. No Rhyme No Reason.

Assassins Creed Review

Assassin’s CreedAssaCreed by: Ubisoft

”Great game, well produced and visually pleasing.” - BigDadGib

GAME PLAY
For the gamer that enjoys the joy of the hunt, Assassin’s Creed has just what you are looking for. Many levels of play take the gamer through hundreds of streets, buildings, and wilderness. With the ability to climb, jump, run, hide and more, the game keeps you involved from start to finish. Control of the main character, you, is done through the third-person view also known as the birds eye view. First-person view is only available while stationary.

RATING MATURE 17+
Even though the game rating falls into the mature 17+ category, the violence and gore were mild. Options for sound and blood can be utilized to tone down some of the violence, but considering this game to be a ‘battle’ game, I still see it as mild.

THE BEST
The graphics were awesome as Ubisoft has once again produced a visually pleasing and easy to understand virtual world. There are no time limits or clocks except in a few, short scenarios where something needs to be completed quickly. Your ability to travel anywhere you have already been makes it easy and rewarding to return to previously viewed places and explore them fully. People and crowds around you react to your characters actions. These people can run in fear, help you or they could turn you into the bad guys.

THE GOOD
A great story line takes you through many steps as the main character seeks knowledge into a journey he knows little about. Young gamers may have trouble with the plot as scenes and places could get confusing. There are many tasks that can be completed but are not required to complete the game, therefore, a second or third trip through the game will result in a rewarding play but with the same ultimate outcome.

THE BAD
Serious political and social overtones weave their way through the game’s plot. A disclaimer at the very start of the game makes note the game is a work of fiction compiled by a group with multi-religious and multi-cultural backgrounds and views. If you keep an open and objective mind, the plot should not be a problem.
