I only have two or three people who comment on a regular bases. But if you could see the "back-end" of the blog, you would see hundreds of failed spam comments, spammed trackbacks and general trash that comes from having a very lax comment policy.
In a last ditch effort to stop the onslaught of spam type comments, readers who wish to post a comment must be registered at BigDadGib.net.
Registration is free, easy and confidential. The information you supply is never shared, sold or traded. As a matter of fact, I don’t even look at it. It is simply a way of verifying you are a real person with a real e-mail address. After you register, your information will be automatically entered into the comment form saving you from re-entering all the info.

After I installed WPSpamFree my spam stopped, 100% I have had nothing in the queue…
WPSpam is what was tossing half of my comments into the trash and I could’nt see what they were.
I like Askismet because I can still see and de-spam things if I need to. That’s how I recovered your many comments that never made it to post.
